WE CREATE AFFORDABLE DESIGNs

Consultation: An initial one-hour consultation in your home will include questions you will answer that will help us to arrive at your unique design aesthetic. We will be taking photos of your room(s) as well as measurements of your space. A color consult for painting your room, along with an estimate, will be included at this time if requested. An individualized plan is then created over the next few weeks and a date is scheduled for the painting and redesign of your space. 

Our expertise in sustainable design principles shows our clients how to repurpose, reduce, and reimagine.

Preparation: If painting is chosen as an option, your room will be freshly painted during this time by professional painters from Urban Nest. Painting is usually a one-day process, depending on how many rooms are included in the job. We will purchase the paint and include it in your final bill. We will also be selecting high quality items sourced thru sustainable resources to offer in your home, as well as sewing any custom-made textiles. Your individualized plan may include printing heirloom photos for gallery walls, painting any older pieces for an updated look and sourcing pieces from other areas of your home.

Redesign is a room-at-a-time process. Urban Nest Redesign considers your history, values and design style as well as the purpose of your space, to enhance what you have already collected and create a functional space that reflects your story. All your furnishings will be carefully removed to other areas of your home. We typically work 8am to 4pm with an hour lunch. Within about 6 hours’ time, you will be able to reimagine your familiar!

  • Urban Nest Redesign is a woman owned mother/daughter run business. Ali and Chelsae are the owners and operators of this local design business. We will be in your home, and if ever we need to bring in any other type of contractor we will inform you to gain your consent.

  • Great question!! Redesign is an affordable, sustainable and equitable way to update your current space. Our costs begin at $600 per room (not including interior painting) and hover around that price unless you decide to purchase additional items from us. Unlike interior design, which sources everything from new purchases and costs thousands to tens of thousands of dollars, redesign tries to incorporate as much of what you already own as possible. It’s a win for you and a win for the environment!
